More Than a Matchday – United for Alice House

FC Hartlepool VS Pools Youth in the Alice House Cup – Fundraiser

Despite the rain, the community turned out in full force for this year’s Alice House Cup — an annual charity match supporting Alice House Hospice. With games, raffles, and local support flooding in, the day was a celebration of football, fundraising, and togetherness.

A DERBY DAY WITH HEART

Saturday’s charity showdown between FC Hartlepool and local rivals Pools Youth wasn’t just about football — it was about community, compassion, and coming together for a cause that means something to us all. Despite the wet weather, fans turned out in great numbers to support the annual Alice House Cup, creating a brilliant atmosphere that showcased the very best of local football and fundraising spirit.

MORE THAN JUST A MATCH

The day featured more than just action on the pitch. With fun stalls, raffles, games (including the ever-popular Soggy Stocks), and a buzzing Pavilion Bar and Murray’s Munchbox serving refreshments, it truly was a full day out for families and supporters alike. The generosity shown by everyone who attended — whether donating, buying raffle tickets, or simply showing up in the rain — helped us raise a fantastic total of £1171.82 for Alice House Hospice.

A UNITED FRONT FOR LOCAL CAUSE

Huge credit goes to both clubs for putting rivalry aside and showing what football can achieve when it unites for good. From the players and coaches to the volunteers, organisers, and supporters — every single person played a part. The funds raised will support vital care services at Alice House, a charity that continues to do incredible work in our community.

We’re proud of what was achieved, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s cup. Until then — thank you, Hartlepool
